Any oppertunity no matter how small is an chance for a designer to have fun and blow away expectations. Most people would consider a event poster a nice project, but what if the poster was for a small event of 45 people. It is worth the time? How do we determine what is worthy and what is just a dumb project.

This started as an small internal project that was to be a simple notice. A company party that was to celebrate the summer and would largely be put on by the company with the help of a few dishes to pass. I elabrate because a simple notice would not have been inspiring. The intention of this poster was to challenge my other employees to take this seriously and participate. Maybe a bit ambitious, but it worked. We had plenty of food and spirites were high.

Any project can be a defining moment and a big piece if it is given a chance. Next time you think about which project is worthy of your attention, think about what the possibilities. Don't just wait for the great projects to come along. Make the small things really stand out.
